01 / A USEFUL BRIEF STARTS WITH AN INVENTORY
Not everything
needs replacing.
Whether you are moving into a Gorakhpur flat or reworking a family home, start by listing the furniture, appliances and fittings you intend to retain. Add measurements and photographs where useful. A package that assumes everything is new may not reflect the job you need.
Then list the practical frustrations room by room: storage, awkward furniture placement, a kitchen that does not suit daily use, or lighting that needs a different arrangement. Write a need before naming a product. “A place for daily-use utensils” is a clearer starting point than a list of accessories chosen from photographs.
02 / A SHEET TO PRINT AND COMPLETE TOGETHER
Keep. Do now.
Consider later.
Swipe or scroll sideways to view all worksheet columns.
| Space | Keep | Needed now | Later / optional |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kitchen | Existing items: ____ | Required work: ____ | Optional items: ____ |
| Living / dining | ____ | ____ | ____ |
| Bedroom 1 | ____ | ____ | ____ |
| Bedroom 2 | ____ | ____ | ____ |
| Bedroom 3, if present | ____ | ____ | ____ |
| Other spaces | ____ | ____ | ____ |
For each “needed now” item, ask what quantity, dimensions and specification would allow it to be priced. A wardrobe, for example, needs more explanation than a room label. Note who will use it and what it needs to store.
If a parent uses a particular bedroom, bring their routines into this discussion with the family-home planning checklist. The most visually prominent room is not automatically the most important one to address first.
03 / KEEP THREE DIFFERENT TOTALS CLEAR
Design. Execution.
Things you buy separately.
- Design or consultation fees
- Ask which drawings, selections, visits or revisions are included, and whether execution is a separate agreement.
- Work and installation
- Identify joinery, finishes, service alterations and fitting responsibilities. Compare quantities and specifications, not just a whole-home total.
- Separate purchases
- List appliances, loose furniture, décor, fittings or other items outside the agreed scope. Check delivery and installation responsibilities.
Do not add a generic percentage and call the result a complete budget. Record unresolved selections and ask how allowances, taxes and changes are treated. The quote-comparison guide provides a broader scope checklist; the kitchen guide goes deeper into cabinets and fittings.
04 / CHOOSE WHAT WAITS WITH THE DESIGNER
Prioritise the spending.
Coordinate the work.
“We will do the rest later” needs a discussion about dependencies. Ask whether postponing an item changes service points, finished surfaces, access or later installation. An optional decorative purchase and concealed work may have very different consequences for the sequence.
Bring your overall comfort range and the priority sheet to an interior design discussion in Gorakhpur. Ask the team to confirm a suitable scope before treating any package description as a proposal for your home.
No verified 2BHK or 3BHK package prices are published here. The purpose is to prepare a comparable brief, not to imply that every home with the same bedroom count should cost the same.
